His passion for flavour and attention to detail shine through in every plate. Out front, our Head Waiter Paul — who has been with us since 2016 — brings warmth, charm, and an expert touch to every guest interaction, helping to create the friendly, attentive service we’re known for.

Surrounded by rolling farmland and just 20 minutes from the Jurassic Coast, we’re fortunate to have access to an exceptional variety of local producers and ingredients.
Our location also makes for a wonderful base to explore the area — whether you’re heading to the coast at nearby Lyme Regis for a wild swim, wandering countryside trails in the Blackdown Hills, or discovering the nearby market towns of Axminster and Bridport.

Tytherleigh feels a world apart from the stresses of modern life, but is easily accessed via road (A358) or by rail at Axminster (approx. 10 minutes) or Crewkerne (approx. 20 mins).
We’re well located to explore The Westcountry, and make a wonderful stop-over if you’re heading further south into South Devon or Cornwall.

Step outside and start exploring — no need to drive!
We’re lucky to be surrounded by beautiful countryside, and several gorgeous walks begin right from our doorstep. With an OS map in hand, you can ramble across rolling farmland, woodland paths, and quiet lanes. Whether you’re after a short stroll before lunch or a full afternoon walk, you’ll find plenty of scenic routes to suit the mood.

We warmly welcome families to join us for our lunchtime service, with highchairs available for little ones. We don’t allow under fives in the evening, or in the bedrooms, although well behaved older children are welcome (we kindly request they stay with you at your table to help maintain an enjoyable dining experience for everyone).
Your canine companions are free to join you in our bar area, although not in the dining room or accommodation. If you are booking a table, please be sure to notify us of any dogs accompanying you so that we can reserve you a suitable table.

As we’re in the quieter countryside, getting a taxi can sometimes be tricky, particularly in Summer.
